This Self-Sustained Solar Cabin is a first for a timely Caribbean Architecture resiliency conversation and design intent to fulfill the same, pushing the boundaries of both limited impacting residential living whilst functioning off-grid supported by full exploitation of the renewable energy generated from the surroundings and substantial sub-terrain rainwater water storage capacity for building functions and irrigation.
The dual-functional Solar Cabin transforms from a private office to a cabin in the blink of an eye. The Architect’s approach is one based on LEED and Net-zero principles combined to create a novel edifice that respects the climate change context and natural environment.
